Who is Wendy?
Dave Thomas the founder of Wendy’s opened his first restaurant on November 15, 1969. It was located at in Columbus, Ohio. Thomas chose the name Wendy’s in honour of his daughter Melinda Lou “Wendy” Thomas.
Why Wendy’s tastes so good
The Wendy’s restaurant is known for its “old-fashioned” style food, square hamburger patties, sea salt fries, thick malt shakes and the serve-soft frozen dairy dessert known as the Frosty.

Wendy’s were the industry leaders creating the first ever “pick-up” window with a separate grill in 1970. As of 2017, there were a total of 6,537 locations worldwide.
