GameStop was founded by Harvard Business School classmates James Mc Curry and Gary Kusin in 1984. The first store was opened in Texas, Dallas and was originally named “Babbage’s”.

GameStop is an American retailer of multichannel video games, pop culture collectables and wireless technology.

GameStop operates over 7,200 stores in 14 countries Worldwide, including, Europe, Australia and of course the USA.

Revolution

In 2000 GameStop revolutionised the video game industry by being the first to introduce the buy-sell-trade program.

Today GameStop is the World’s largest video game retailer.
